Who is this course for?
This course is suited to lower-risk workplaces where a risk assessment has identified the need for an emergency first aider to possess appropriate first aid skills and knowledge such as offices, restaurants, bars and retail.

Learning outcomes:

Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider

Be able to assess an emergency situation safely

Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty - CPR and use of defibrillator

Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking

Know how to provide first aid to casualty who is suffering from shock

Know how to provide first aid to casualty with minor injury
-
Be able to conduct a secondary survey
-
Be able to provide first aid to casualty with burns and scalds
Assessments
Students will be assessed by the Instructor on the practical part. The qualification is assessed through practical demonstration. There is no grading of the assessment, learners pass or are referred.
Qualifications & Renewals
On successful completion of the course, participants will receive an FAA accredited certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work, Ofqual regulated body and it is valid for 3 years.
